NATO Secretary General will be meeting with António Costa on Thursday

Written By Lara Silva

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg is coming to Portugal on Thursday to meet with Prime Minister António Costa. A press release by NATO states that Stoltenberg and Costa will be giving a joint press conference between 17:45 -18.00 (CEST).

No specific details were given about the subject of the meeting, but the press is naturally arguing that the Ukraine war will be discussed. The press conference will be streamed live on the NATO website.

The last time Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg came to Portugal was in October of 2021 when Lisbon welcomed the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

Prime Minister António Costa is currently in Iceland until Wednesday when he will meet with Prime Minister Katrín Jakobsdóttir and participate in the Fourth Council of Europe Summit.
