Will you be visiting Lisbon in July? Well, you’re in for a treat as the neighborhood street parties of June give way to massive international festivals, free open-air concerts, and long, warm evenings by the Tagus. It’s hot, it’s busy, and it’s exactly the Lisbon you’ve seen in the photos!
Here are the 9 best events in Lisbon in July 2026. Enjoy!
1. NOS Alive
When: July 9-11
Where: Passeio Marítimo de Algés, Oeiras
How much: From 84 EUR (day ticket)
This is the undisputed highlight of Lisbon’s summer! NOS Alive returns to Passeio Marítimo de Algés with a lineup including Twenty One Pilots, Foo Fighters, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, A Perfect Circle, Alabama Shakes, Pixies, Florence + The Machine, Lorde, Wolf Alice, and so many more. Six stages run simultaneously including dedicated ones for fado and stand-up comedy, so there’s always something happening.
One more thing: the riverside setting offers views of the 25 de Abril Bridge, so, without a doubt, it’s one of the most beautiful festivals in Europe!
2. LISB-ON
When: July 3-4
Where: Jardim Keil do Amaral, Estr. Montes Claros, Lisboa
How much: From 50 EUR
A favorite among locals, LISB-ON is an electronic festival set inside Monsanto’s lush forest park. Friday’s lineup includes CamelPhat, Rødhåd b2b MARRØN, Adam Ten, and Ben Sims, while Saturday brings Folamour, Sven Väth, Kerri Chandler, Anfisa Letyago, and Shanti Celeste. In short, house, techno, and disco will be playing…all in a garden setting that feels worlds away from a typical club night.
3. Iron Maiden Concert
When: July 7
Where: Estádio da Luz, Av. Eusébio da Silva Ferreira
How much: From 60 EUR
One of the biggest rock concerts of the summer lands in Lisbon as Iron Maiden brings their Run For Your Lives World Tour to Estádio da Luz. The legendary British heavy metal band promises a spectacular stadium show packed with classics such as “The Trooper,” “Run to the Hills,” “Fear of the Dark,” and many more. The concert is expected to be the band’s largest-ever performance in Portugal.
Even if you’re not a dedicated metal fan, Iron Maiden’s live performances are a must-see simply because of the stage production, giant mascots, pyrotechnics, and incredible energy. In other words, if you want to experience one of Lisbon’s most talked-about concerts of 2026, this is your chance!

4. Scorpions Concert
When: July 8
Where: MEO Arena, Rossio dos Olivais
How much: From 66 EUR
Just one day after Iron Maiden, another rock legend takes the stage in Lisbon! Scorpions return to the Portuguese capital for a highly anticipated show at Altice Arena. With a career spanning more than five decades, the German band continues to fill arenas worldwide with timeless hits such as “Wind of Change,” “Still Loving You,” and “Rock You Like a Hurricane,” which you probably know by heart even if you’re not their biggest fan.
Sing-along moments, guitar solos, and plenty of nostalgia – that’s what the concert promises, whether you’ve followed the band since the 1980s or recently discovered their music.
5. Festival ao Largo
When: July 3-25
Where: Praça Central, Centro Cultural de Belém, Praça do Império
How much: Free!
This is one of Lisbon’s loveliest summer traditions, and it’s in a new home this year. The festival moves to the Centro Cultural de Belém while the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos undergoes renovation. The program features the Portuguese Symphony Orchestra, the Gulbenkian Orchestra, the Teatro Nacional São Carlos Choir, and the National Ballet Company.
Highlights include open-air opera screenings of Verdi classics and full orchestral nights under the stars by the river. Best of all, it’s completely free! Just show up early for a good spot.
6. Festival Jardins do Marquês
When: Through July 6
Where: Jardins do Palácio do Marquês de Pombal, Palácio do Marquês Pombal, Oeiras
How much: 40-54 EUR
This festival closes out its run in the first week of July inside the gardens of an 18th-century palace, mixing rock, Lusophone music, and new sounds. The 2026 lineup includes The Stranglers, Esperanza Spalding, Dino D’Santiago, and more.
It goes without saying that the setting alone is worth the trip. Extraordinary gardens, a historic palace that will take your breath away, and, if that’s what you’re after, a much smaller crowd than you’ll find at big festivals.
It’s a bit far from Lisbon’s city center, but you can take the Cascais train line or get a taxi with your friends, as it only takes about 30 minutes by car to get to the palace.

7. Ageas CoolJazz
When: July 8-31
Where: Hipódromo Manuel Possolo (Av. da República 371, 2750-642 Cascais) & Parque Marechal Carmona (Praceta Domingos D’Avilez Av. da República)
How much: 30-66 EUR
Just down the coast in Cascais, CoolJazz turns a former royal hippodrome into one of Portugal’s most elegant summer concert series. The 2026 edition runs throughout July, from July 8 to July 31. You’ll have the opportunity to listen to David Byrne, Jamiroquai, Chet Faker, Franz Ferdinand, and many more.
Ageas CoolJazz takes place in Cascais, though, so if you want to buy tickets, make sure you can arrange transportation to or accommodation in Cascais, especially if you plan to stay the night.
8. Somersby Out Jazz
When: Every Sunday in July
Where: Parque Urbano de Miraflores, Av. Gen. Norton de Matos
How much: Free!
Lisbon’s beloved Sunday tradition rolls on, though it shifts location for July, moving to Parque Urbano de Miraflores just outside the city. Concerts run from 5 pm until sunset, free of charge, with jazz, soul, funk, and hip-hop drifting through the park as the light turns gold.
You can take a taxi or hop on a train from central Lisbon to get there, and enjoy the kind of low-key evening that makes Portuguese summers so amazing!
9. Foster the People (DJ Set)
When: July 25
Where: LX Factory, Lisboa
How much: Price varies
Looking for something a little different? Foster the People arrive in Lisbon for a special DJ set at the iconic LX Factory. Instead of a traditional concert, the Grammy-nominated indie-pop group will bring a dancefloor-focused performance blending electronic music, indie favorites, and party-ready remixes.
Set inside one of Lisbon’s coolest creative hubs, this late-night event is perfect for anyone who enjoys alternative music and vibrant nightlife. Expect a lively crowd, a unique industrial setting, and plenty of opportunities to dance the night away in one of the city’s most popular cultural venues.
