Azores Trip Report

I just wanted to drop you a note and let you know that we really, really enjoyed our trip to Ponta Delgada last week. Thank you so much for making the arrangements for us and answering all of my questions before we left. Everything went off without a hitch and we couldn't have asked for better hospitality while we were there.

In particular, we were so pleased with the Hotel do Colegio-the location was perfect for popping in and out throughout the day and the staff was very helpful, too. We also took two full-days tours with AVA Tours and enjoyed them immensely, especially the one led by a very personable guide named Celia. She was by far the most fluent person we encountered, and was able to offer excellent descriptions and answer questions about what we were seeing.

We're now sorting through many, many photos so that we can share our trip with friends and family. If anyone decides to make the Azores their next vacation destination, we'll be sure to recommend your invaluable services, too!

Again, thanks for all you did to make our vacation a worry-free one.

No amount of reading, research or website could have prepared us for the magnificent overviews, natural beauty, picturesque villages and hospitality of the people of Sao Miguel! The flights both ways were on time, weather was comfortable- there was no rain or fog, everything fell into place for us. The Do Colegio was centrally located and a very comfortable hotel.

Thanks so much for all of your arrangements and hope that our paths cross again in the not too distance future!!

Trip to the Azores Islands

Trip to Azores

Fantastic Trip

Joyce and I want to thank you for the absolutely fantastic trip that you arranged for us. The accommodations were top class. The towns were beautiful and colorful. The attractions were interesting and gave us a real feel for the people of Portugal and their history. The people were very friendly and most helpful. The food was great. The service was top notch. Everything went off exactly as you planned it. It was the best trip that we have ever had. It will be very hard to match.

Do you have other plans for other countries where we could do something similar; self drive, with beautiful accommodations, etc.? Or can you refer us to someone who has these kind of planned trips? Again thank you for a wonderful adventure

Trip to Portugal

Just wanted to thank you for putting together our trip to Portugal. It was fabulous. The accommodations were amazing and added so much to our experience. My father did really well and was able to participate in most everything. Do you do tours in other countries as well? Azores Trip

Just wanted to tell you that our Azores trip was wonderful !!!! Thanks so much for all your help. The flights and hotel worked out fine - they put 2 twin beds together for us. The Pousada de Santa Cruz was awesome, I'm so glad you recommended it - we had a lovely view of the harbor and the dinners were fabulous (we ate almost all of our meals right at the hotel). The trip to Pico and our guide Antonio was great (he showed us so many things on the island). We can't wait to go back and see some of the other islands! Maybe next year, but hopefully we will learn a little more Portuguese by then!

Pousadas Trip

Returned from 8 days and nights in Portugal. What a wonderful experience. The stays at Evora, Mesao Frio and Belmonte were especially fabulous. And what delicious cuisine!!

Rio Frio

Palacio Rio Frio is in a beautiful, quiet setting about 20 minutes from the airport in Lisbon and easy to get to by car. We were impressed by the 12 foot ceilings asn antique decor throughout the house. Our gracious hostess explained the history of the estate and an excellent breakfast was served in style in the tile-lined dining room. Nearby Pinhal-Novo was good for dinner as there are no restaurants in the town. Siesta is observed from 12:00 t9 2:00 pm so we had to wait a bit for someone to let us in. A peaceful place to stay!
