Take the exciting opportunity to cross the Portuguese border into the most important region in the North of Spain - Galiza. The main part of the tour will be in the city of Santiago of Compostela, the "pilgrimage city", which has the magnificent landmark that is The Cathedral. On the way, you'll cross through part of the north of Portugal, directly to Santiago of Compostela. Here, you'll visit the cultural center, including the Cathedral (the biggest one in Iberian Peninsula), other landmark monuments, and the traditional local markets. Now, it is time for lunch, and to taste the Galician gastronomy and wines. After lunch, you'll cross the natural border, created by River Minho. Here the Spanish, in the 18th century, tried to invade Portugal only to discover the opponent on the other side of the fortified walls of Valença do Minho. This is a marvellous small town, which is a landmark when talking about the singular fortified structures, developed by the French specialist Monsieur Vauban.

After this visit, you'll return to Porto and to your Hotel.
