Douro Full-Day Tour

Tour Description

Depart from your hotel towards Amarante. Visit the Historic Center including Saint Gonçalo Church, the Romanesque bridge and the commercial area. Continue on in direction of Régua - Douro Region's capital - chosen by the Marquis of Pombal, to be the center of the Port Wine demarcated region. Next, you will visit a Port vineyard farm, and then, have free time for lunch. After lunch, the magnificent landscape of Douro region, will join you while you travel to the area of Pinhão and Vila Real. A stop will present you with a visit to the palace "Solar de Mateus", a beautiful building that expresses the feeling of the 18th Century architecture -the Baroque style. Tour this area's Historic Center, and then, depart from Vila Real to Porto.
