Business Events - Saint Vincent Palace
In the year of 1147 the troops of Afonso I of Portugal conquered the castle of Lisbon and the hill of Graça instantly became a sacred site where many of the deceased soldiers were buried. Taking advantage of the privileged location of the 12th century church and monastery and of one of the old castle walls, the Secretary of the Portuguese Council in Madrid order a magnificent palace to be erected in the year of 1606. With the simplicity and yet luxurious style of the early 1600’s the Palace grew in style and in size with magnificent gardens that a later owner embellished with a unique collection of glazed tiles. It’s in this magnificent setting of noble ambience provided by gilded wood carvings, glazed tiles and original paintings that you’ll be able to enjoy the pleasures of high quality cuisine. Maybe one of the few opportunities in life to really turn back in time maintaining the amenities of the present.
